Seaspiracy movie download The turbulent documentary “Seachacy”, streaming on Netflix, takes the form of an intercontinental odyssey filled with discoveries. The director Ali Tabrizi serves as a passionate guide and narrator, and as he travels from Asia to Europe and back, he strives to supervise each revelation as shocking as the last.
This begins as a study of ocean debris becomes a visit to the many agents of marine destruction and corruption, millions of sharks killed as accessories captures to the conservation organizations that Taribrizi suggest profits. But the rhetoric style of the film often resembles a cheap imitation of a difficult investigative journalism. “My only option was to follow the money,” Tabrizi, after successfully seizing the representatives of an organization with advanced questions.
Throughout, Tabrizi infuses “Seppiracy” with a sense of urgency and danger. In a tuna port in Japan and a salmon farm in Scotland, the director hides around corners and under-feeding under the blanket of darkness. Shark fins markets in China are filmed with spighted cameras. And efforts to investigate human rights violations in the Thai fisheries industry are charged with risk reminders for Tarrizi and the life of his team.
“EASPIRACY” has some reporting documents – including a Dolphin-Safe-Safe tuna survey can label – which are surprising and memorable. But even the notable points of the film seem to emerge briefly before sinking into the surface, lost in a sea of thought conspirator.
